BenQ has today announced the launch of their new PC-less, lamp-less Joybee GP1 Mini Projector. The hand sized, mini projector comes equip with lamp-free LED technology and an integrated USB video reader, making the projection of movies, photos, games consoles and videos all possible without the need for a PC. Weighing in at a lightweight 640g (1.4Ib), the GP1 is compatible with mass storage devices such as digital cameras, personal multimedia players, PDAs, iPods, iPhones, and Smartphones - making it a perfect, portable all round entertainment device for the modern, tech-savvy, digital-media-on-demand consumer.
Specially designed to keep you entertained wherever you go, the GP1 Mini Projector is LED lit to deliver images up to 80” in size. It also comes with an integrated 2w speaker and headphone jack so you can enjoy audio from the GP1, further enriching your audiovisual enjoyment.
"BenQ's latest mini projector is our commitment to developing new and highly usable technologies for today's consumer. The Joybee GP1 Mini Projector, can be considered a portable 42" screen, used with or without a PC, and has usage from the home, classroom, through to meeting rooms." commented Royce Lye, UK Product & Marketing Manager for BenQ.
Ideal for the business market, travelling business professionals can use the GP1 and USB reader for corporate videos, jpeg-format presentations, job interviews, or any spur-of-the-moment projection in the lounge, coffee shop, or even the smallest meeting room. Because the GP1 is plug-and-play effortless and does not require a PC, its simplicity makes it a perfect display device for older consumers unfamiliar with today’s technology.
For photographers and interior designers who demand colour precision and brilliance, the GP1’s 120% NTSC and 100AL project photos, design renderings, and videos (such as virtual home tours) in high-impact colour, even in fully-lit settings. Compared to the average 55%-80% NTSC of most projectors, the GP1 noticeably outperforms with bolder, more deeply saturated hues across a broader colour gamut. The 15-80” image in 4:3 native format (16:9 selectable) is adjustable with digital zoom and preset picture PC and A/V modes. Auto play modes, auto keystone, auto search, and Wall Colour Correction get content up and running fast, while the integrated speaker delivers instant digital sound. Ample connectivity includes D-Sub, Composite, and USB inputs, and PC audio output. A detachable iPod/iPhone docking station is available as a clever option.
The Joybee GP1 Mini Projector is certified RoHS, WEEE, and EuP, draws 30% less power than many other models, and has a <1W standby mode for environmental joy.
