All-In-Ones for the home and office – Canon launches the new PIXMA MX420, PIXMA MX410 and PIXMA MX360

Canon today announced the launch of two new All-In-One models, ideal for the home office environment; the PIXMA MX420 and PIXMA MX410. Putting scan, copy, fax and print functionality at user’s fingertips, the new models combine practical functions with smart software, bringing enhanced quality to printed documents and photographs, whilst improving user productivity.

Replacing the PIXMA MX350, PIXMA MX340 and PIXMA MX320, the efficient new models feature practical business functions, including a fully integrated Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) and Super G3 high speed fax with save to memory functionality[1] to ensure a back-up copy of faxes. They also make it simple to create PDF files straight from the All-In-One to USB, memory cards[2] or a PC. The PIXMA MX420 and PIXMA MX410 also offer users Wi-Fi n connectivity for easy sharing across a network and the PIXMA MX420 has an easy-to-view 6.2cm colour TFT display.

Impressive printing
The new models boast improved print speeds without compromising on quality. The PIXMA MX420 and PIXMA MX410 have ISO ESAT speeds of approximately 8.7ipm mono and 5.0ipm colour. They can produce a 10x15cm photo print in approximately 42 seconds. The PIXMA MX360 has ISO ESAT speeds of approximately 8.4ipm mono and 4.8ipm colour, and can produce a 10x15cm photo print in approximately 43 seconds[3]. Canon’s FINE printhead technology produces minimum 2 picolitre ink droplets and achieves maximum 4,800dpi print resolution, ensuring great print quality for documents and photos. The models also feature ChromaLife 100+ for long-lasting, beautiful photos.

Simple scanning and copying
The PIXMA MX420, PIXMA MX410 and PIXMA MX360 are built around functionality and high performance, offering fast, no-fuss scanning and copying. The fully integrated ADF ensures large documents can be scanned, copied and faxed quickly and simply, while Auto Document Fix technology automatically optimises the quality of scanned documents and improves legibility.

The new models also give users the ability to easily scan documents or images straight to USB flash memory as PDF or JPEG files without the need to use a computer, while Auto Scan Mode allows users to create high quality scans using a simple one-click process. High quality copying is achieved through the use of Dual Colour Gamut Processing Technology, and Text and Image Separation Technology.

Straightforward and easy-to-use
The new All-In-One models are designed to be simple to use. The PIXMA MX420, PIXMA MX410 and PIXMA MX360 feature a refined software interface for easy operation and the inclusion of advanced technologies such as Auto Photo Fix II guarantee the delivery of great prints first time. Solution Menu EX also allows users to access advanced features, using easily recognisable pictorial icons to make navigation as straightforward as possible within a customisable display.

The 6.2cm colour TFT display on the PIXMA MX420 ensures users can easily see what actions they are selecting, while Quick Operation reduces the number of steps required to access commonly used functions, meaning fewer key presses are required to achieve excellent results.

Smart software
The PIXMA MX420, PIXMA MX410 and PIXMA MX360 come complete with advanced software solutions including Easy-WebPrint EX, which offers smart yet simple web printing, allowing users to clip, combine and print pages from multiple web pages. It’s also possible to print booklets from the clipped web pages and insert your own text or images. Canon MP Navigator EX allows the quick & easy creation of searchable PDF documents which can be password protected, or beautiful scanned images. Additionally, Easy-PhotoPrint EX makes producing creative content easy, allowing users to print photos, calendars and albums with minimal fuss.

Canon’s unique Full HD Movie Print enables users to print beautiful images by selecting a single frame from a full HD movie captured on select Canon Digital SLR or Digital Still Cameras.
