Toshiba Portégé R830
The follow up to last year's incredible Portégé R700 13-inch productivity powerhouse, the Toshiba Portégé R830 keeps the sleek, superlight form factor, and pimps up the internals to give you even more speed. It houses a second gen Intel Core processor, up to an enormous 8GB of DDR memory and 640GB hard drive. Toshiba's clever cooling tech meanwhile keeps everything humming over nicely while allowing for an impressive battery life of up to 14 hours.
Toshiba's not forgotten to keep all the ports that made the thin and light Portégé R700 such a success: you'll find options for a DVD drive, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 3.0 and even HDMI-out for screen sharing made easy, on the Toshiba Portégé R830. Check out the photos of it here in our gallery:
Toshiba Tecra R840
Like the Portégé R830, you can expect all the latest tech and connectivity equipment stuffed inside the Toshiba Tecra R840. That means a brand new Intel second-gen Core processor with up to 8GB of RAM and a capacious 640GB hard drive for you to store all your media and photos as well as your work files.
The difference is the size: that extra inch really makes a difference for pounding out important documents and touch typing at speed - and there's little in the way of compromise since the battery still runs for an epic eight hours on a charge.
Toshiba Satellite Pro R850 and Toshiba Tecra R850
Not content with keeping all that power in the 13-inch line, Toshiba's expanded up to its 15-inch models in the more business oriented Tecra and Satellite lines. Once again, you're looking at all those connections, and a second gene intel Core processor for blazing performance, but you'll also get a bigger screen with a sharp, LED backlit 1,366x768 resolution display.
There's also the option for a solid state drive to store all your documents and media, in place of a traditional hard drive, to give you a further speed boost working on the go.
