Belkin is recognised as a top corporate design winner with two bronze awards
Belkin is the winner of two International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA®) for innovative product design, the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) Announced last week. The two Bronze Awards put Belkin among the top corporate winners in 2011 along with Samsung, Microsoft and GE Healthcare.
Belkin products taking home the honours are the Conserve Valet in the communications tools category and the Conserve Smart AV in the entertainment category. Belkin Conserve products inspire energy conservation and provide easy, cost-effective tools for people to be more engaged with their energy use at home and work.
Belkin is a mainstay on the IDEA® winners list, taking home 10 awards since 2007 and ranking in the top five of corporate award winners over the past five years. Belkin is in good company at the top, with companies such as Samsung, Apple, GE Healthcare, Dell, Panasonic and Herman Miller also on the list.
The IDEA® awards recognise design excellence in products, sustainability, interaction design, strategy, research and concepts. Widely considered one of the most prestigious design contests, this year’s awards program received a record number of entries from 39 countries. A panel of 20 international design experts selected the winners and recognized 524 finalists, with 27 gold award winners, 68 silver award winners and 96 bronze award winners. In addition to the two bronze awards, two other Belkin products, the Conserve Insight and the Laptop Cooling Lounge were acknowledged as finalists.
