Standing Out on Sustainability

Lexmark’s sustainability leadership continues to win accolades. The latest award comes from the Manufacturing Leadership Council, which has named Lexmark a recipient of the 2012 Manufacturing Leadership 100 Award for Sustainability.

The awards program honors the top 100 companies and individuals that are shaping the future of global manufacturing. This is the first time Lexmark has received the award.

“We’re really excited about this particular award because it reflects the hard work of many Lexmark employees over a number of years,” said John Gagel, manager of sustainability. “The award is focused on the Lexmark Cartridge Collection Program and how we’ve been able to improve the sustainable features of our supplies through closed loop recycling.”

“The Manufacturing Leadership Award puts us in great company with many of our customers,” said Rob Burkholder, program manager, global annuities marketing. “It’s great recognition for Lexmark’s innovations and leadership position in sustainability.”

Lexmark and the other Manufacturing Leadership Award winners will be honored during a summit in Florida in May.
