Acer Foundation launched the first annual Incredible Green Contest to promote better and greener living environment. The competition, open to students at all levels worldwide, aims to encourage the development of innovative and sustainable solutions leading to energy saving, and carbon emissions reduction, as well as to increase awareness around environmental issues.
“Acer Foundation is proud of being the organizer of the contest to enhance awareness and understanding of caring for a greener environment, and we are excited to see innovative approaches to sustaining our environment,” said Richard Lai, executive director of Acer Foundation.
The theme of the contest is “2020 Future TechLife enabled by green innovation” and the objective is to encourage students to draw form what they learn at school to create methods or products that makes our earth greener. Promoting environmental care should be a concern for everyone, across ages and nationalities; this is why Acer foundation decided to involve students worldwide to share their ideas for more sustainable solutions.
An old Native American proverb says "Mother Earth is not here for us to use, it is on loan to us from future generations." Acer shares this concept and is committed to sustainable development and improvement of human life. And this is why the company created the Incredible Green Contest to start a new wave of environmentally friendly products and thinking.
