Seagate at IP Expo in London

London, England - 16 October 2012 - The Cloud, data storage and security will be centre stage at IP Expo in London's Earls Court 2 on 17 and 18 October where Seagate will participate alongside EVault at stand G36.

Seagate will discuss the evolving cloud and the key place of storage in cloud infrastructure as well as its newly announced enterprise hard drives which have been designed and optimised for traditional data centres and emerging cloud infrastructures. With an estimated 1,200 exabytes of digital data being created in 2012 and the amount of data doubling every two years, storage vendors like Seagate are at the very centre of the digital universe.

Cloud Computing boosts demand for storage solutions.

As more cloud infrastructures come online, Seagate is forecasting a long-term rise in demand for storage solutions for these environments. Seagate is aligning its strategy accordingly.

Every relevant factor in the delivery chain - from the physical operating conditions, workloads and data backup models to system design and support - has to be attuned to the new demands of the Cloud.

Seagate representatives will be present during the fair to expand on spec, functions and the Cloud revolution.
