StarTech’s New Universal Laptop Docking Stations Provide High Performance Workstation Connectivity for Hot Desking and Hotelling

Versatile dock adds multiple SuperSpeed USB 3.0, high speed Gigabit LAN and high quality display adapter ports, along with audio connections, to create an efficient multi-purpose or shared desk space

Northampton, UK - July 26, 2013 - StarTech, a leading manufacturer of hard-to-find connectivity parts, has announced the release of a new USB 3.0 Laptop Docking Station (USB3SDOCKHDV), which enables users to add HDMI and DVI-D, or HDMI and VGA dual video, as well as audio and Gigabit Ethernet connections to a laptop through a single USB 3.0 port.

The universal docking station allows laptops and Ultrabooks to be connected to peripherals such as monitors, keyboards and mice through a single USB port unlike manufacturer-specific laptop docks, which require that users' laptops connect through a proprietary dock connector. This release adds to StarTech.com's broad range of universal laptop docking stations, which provide users with an efficient and convenient way to transition between a fully mobile environment and a static workstation, especially in the case of workplaces that rely on hot-desking or hotelling desk space.

"This latest universal docking station significantly expands the functionality and connectivity of a desktop-stationed laptop or UltraBook, while taking advantage of the latest connectivity technologies" said Carey Cline, Senior Product Manager for StarTech.com's Laptop Accessories product line. "Our laptop docks make it much easier for users to connect their laptop to the peripheral devices they need, without the disruption of having to connect multiple cables".
