Toshiba UK today announces the arrival of the stunning new mini NB500 series with addition of two outstanding models to its acclaimed netbook range – the mini NB520 and the mini NB500.
The new mini NB500 series provides everything users could want from their netbook, fusing advanced performance, rich connectivity, premium design and uncompromised build quality. The new models mark the latest step forward for Toshiba’s award-winning netbook range, with the mini NB520 offering dual-core Intel® processing and powerful integrated speakers exclusively designed by Harman/Kardon®, allowing users to enjoy a completely new level of netbook performance.
Designed for convenience
Both models feature a 25.7cm (10.1”) TruBrite® display with LED backlighting for bright, clear and vivid images, providing the perfect platform for browsing the web, updating social networks or watching videos on the move. A large, comfortable keyboard makes typing quick and easy, while a touch pad with multi-touch control provides an intuitive way to navigate each model’s Windows 7 operating system – enabling users to zoom, swipe or scroll through websites, images and documents with ease. An enhanced design also makes the new mini NB500 series models more mobile than ever before. The mini NB520: A netbook for music lovers
The mini NB520 is a premium netbook that combines enhanced performance with leading audio capabilities. The first ever netbook to feature embedded speakers designed by audio specialist Harman/Kardon®, the mini NB520 offers superb sonic performance users can enjoy anywhere. Furthermore, the new model also features Dolby® Advanced AudioTM technology to ensure all audio is of optimum quality, delivering clear trebles, punchy mid tones and rich bass levels so music, film and video soundtracks are rich in clarity and detail.
The mini NB520 is the first of Toshiba’s netbook range to feature dual-core Intel® processing, delivering more efficient performance than ever. Providing greater flexibility, the enhanced processing power of the mini NB520 offers users greater response times, as well as the ability run multiple programmes with no drop in performance.
The mini NB520 also features Toshiba Sleep-and-Music – adopted from Toshiba’s full-performance multimedia laptops – allowing users to connect an MP3 player to the machine and play music through the Harman/Kardon® speakers, even when the laptop is switched off. Toshiba’s Sleep-and-Charge is also included, allowing users to re-charge devices such as mobile phones or MP3 players conveniently via the dedicated USB port when the netbook is in sleep mode – helping users keep peripheral devices powered on the move.
