Toshiba UK today announces the latest updates to its performance and gaming laptops, adding the latest Intel® technology to the Satellite A665, Satellite A660 and Qosmio X500. The hardware updates provide enhanced multimedia and connectivity features on selected Satellite machines, while the Qosmio X500 also gains 3D functionality following new software updates.

Powered by brand new second generation Intel® Core™ i7 processors, the Satellite A665, Satellite A660 and Qosmio X500 laptops enable users to effortlessly create and experience content such as high definition video and 3D content, as well as run power-hungry applications including photo and video editing software with even greater ease.
Connect faster, share faster
A super-speed USB 3.0 port on the Satellite A665 and Satellite A660 allows users to transfer documents between peripheral devices and external hard disk drives up to ten times faster than with USB 2.0. In addition, the integration of the latest Bluetooth® 3.0 technology on all three models enables users to wirelessly transfer data with compatible devices at up to 24Mbits per second.
New 3D features – immerse yourself in entertainment
Incredible new hardware ensures the Qosmio X500 offers solid gaming performance, while the addition of new software features makes it the perfect partner to any 3D TV. The Qosmio X500’s HDMI® interface makes it possible to play 3D content directly to a 3D TV, enabling users to enjoy 3D games or HD films on a bigger screen – perfect for enjoying in the living room with friends and family. In addition, the Qosmio X500 is now able to take 2D content and instantly render it as a 3D image when played on the Toshiba Video Player 3D software – giving existing film collections and home videos a new lease of life when played back on a 3D ready television.
